DIRECTIONS FOR APPLICATION: Concrete must be allowed to cure a minimum of 28
days. All repointing must be completed and allowed to cure for at least 3
days. Concrete replacement and repair must be completed prior to product
application. Patching materials, caulking, sealing materials and traffic
paint must be fully cured prior to applying STONESAVER Water
Repellent.
All surfaces must be cleaned to remove all
traces of curing compounds, coatings, efflorescence, dirt, dust, oil,
grease, salt and other foreign materials. Acceptable surface cleaning
methods include: Shotblasting, sandblasting, waterblasting, and chemical
cleaners and strippers. Consult your STONESAVER representative to
ensure that surface preparation is adequate.
STONESAVER Water Repellent may be
applied over a damp surface although fully dry surfaces are preferred to
achieve maximum penetration into the substrate. Ensure to remove any
standing water prior to application.
A test application is essential on each surface
to be treated to ensure product compatibility, accurate coverage rates and
the desired water repellent results.
STONESAVER Water Repellent should
be applied using low pressure / high volume sprayer < 35 psi. 3+ g.p.m.
with a wet fan spray tip. Sprayer, hoses and gaskets must be solvent
resistant.
Horizontal: Working from lowest elevated
area, spray surface until full saturation is reached (pond for at least 5
seconds) and remains moist for a few minutes. Back roll any pooling areas 30
seconds after spraying. If a second coat is required, it should be applied
after the first coat is absorbed but still moist.
Vertical: On vertical surface apply
STONESAVER Water Repellent in a flooding spray application from
the bottom up working side to side with a run down of 6" to 8" below the
spray line. All run off product should be diked and absorbed with sand or
kitty litter and disposed of according to local government regulations.
Avoid plastic or specially coated windows.
COVERAGE: 100 - 200 sq. ft. per US
Gallon. Coverage can vary dramatically with the type and porosity of the
surface. True coverage rates can only be determined by a test
application.
PRECAUTIONS: STONESAVER
Water Repellent is a flammable
liquid and should be kept away from heat, open flame, spark or any other
source of ignition. Containers should be kept closed when not in use and
stored at temperatures between 0 - 120 degrees Fahrenheit and away from
raining and standing water. Respirators should be worn during
application.
As a precautionary measure when working with STONESAVER
products, protective clothing, gloves, boots, eye wear and
respirators should be worn. Avoid contact with eyes. Use only under well
ventilated conditions. Avoid prolonged exposure. Store in cool, dry and
ventilated area. Do not apply pressure to empty container. Do not add any
other product to container. Keep container closed.

manufacture.
Substrate Permeation: Up to 10 Years on Vertical Concrete or
Clay Brick
Protection Up to 5 years on Horizontal Concrete Surfaces
